Thanks Kathy! yesterday was Chris's day, and thanks for inviting me and letting me pack more mexican food into my birthday week :)

Does this joke contain a homophone?

Q: Why can't you hear a pterodactyl go to the bathroom?

A: Because the "P" is silent.

(I'm not telling anyone which dinosaur I voted for...)

very fun post!

According to a young fair-goer, the ride we rode (the Hustler) was "worse than Scat."

Out of context this is a great phrase:
""It's not the doughnut," BAKER said. "It's the assault.""

#6) Monday, November 05, 2007
aw, thanks for the vote of support Diana! To Brian's credit, he says he "hasnt looked at that list for years."

Regarding the question contest, I haven't been able to think of any yet...

#7) Monday, November 26, 2007
November 1997: I was a freshman at Yorktown High School. I rode the metrobus back and forth from school, worked on stagecrew trying to earn my place in the theatre department. I listened to Paula Cole and Fiona Apple. Brian still is not a pedo.

#8) Friday, December 07, 2007
Aaaaah! It's rather disturbing seeing your head so convincingly attached to that body! Actually VERY disturbing. Ew.

#9) Thursday, December 13, 2007
Yes, congrats Jim! I was fixated on Metallica. Though I hated them back in the day, METALLICA ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! whoda thunk it?

#10) Tuesday, December 18, 2007
I liked it! (though it didn't really seem worth it to submit such an indiscriminating positive comment, I'm commenting anyway. It seems like someone should AND this is absolutely the Most Boring Day at work ever/this week).
PS: "Surefooted" = BU on Ice skates... well, almost...

#11) Wednesday, December 19, 2007
Aw man, I still have that bacon! I'll have to give it to you so you can bring it home... heheh.

Dianiska, your comment photo is adorable! So is Ella's present photo! I sure have met a lot of cute babies this year. Didn't see that coming! :)

#12) Friday, December 28, 2007
I'll vote for "During an earthquake" and "doggie waste bag dispensers".

#13) Thursday, January 03, 2008
Thanks for the thoughts everyone. yay Europe!

Nice map and calender, Brian!

#14) Tuesday, January 08, 2008
oooh ominous. I'm in a basement. Something is dripping. Maybe it's blood.

It also makes me think of the movie Sweeny Todd. Except your piece is a bit brighter.

#15) Wednesday, January 09, 2008
Nice update, though a little osTENtatious.

#16) Friday, January 11, 2008
yeah, I dunno... "Plinky" does look pretty hot in that picture...

#17) Monday, January 14, 2008
Just for the record the living room color looks a lot prettier in real life. Here it looks more like I'm saying "Ta-da! We painted it snot-yellow!"

#18) Monday, January 14, 2008
Secrets.

Actually it is a birthday present my roommate wrapped for her boyfriend. Snot very interesting.

#19) Tuesday, January 15, 2008
Wow.

I also remember hearing in high school health class that diarrhea was one of the highest causes of death in much of the world.

Diarrhea is serious business.

(get it?)

(Sorry.)

#20) Thursday, January 31, 2008
Nice shot of Marc there. Don't be turned-off, ladies-- he doesn't always look that nauseous. It was just a really bad cookie.

#21) Monday, February 11, 2008
Looks great BU! Got any ideas for my 4 x 7 room. (keyboards here don?t let me make question marks... why.)

#22) Friday, February 15, 2008
What about ?Chompy?for Florida-Mike? Or did someone already mention that? wow, I just figured out how to make question marks in Spanish! ?Que perfecto?

The question is will I ever be able to talk to your neighbors? we?ll see...

#23) Monday, March 03, 2008
Wow! that?s a ton of news! Congrats to Paige and family, Brianne and family, Mike, and Larry!

#24) Monday, March 03, 2008
Hola! yes, I hablo espanol way too much of the time! I can?t wait to hablo english again, in fact!

#25) Wednesday, March 05, 2008
great photos!

boo server...

#26) Thursday, May 08, 2008
The puzzling thing for me about The Darjeeling Limited was that I DID like the other movies (depressed, sullen, and dysfunctional families are usually hilarious!) but this one was a total dud for me.

Your time would be much better spent at the Spy Museum, which was indeed fantastic! The "actress"/leader who is in charge of getting everyone to participate in the spy mission was particularly impressive. I wouldn't last a day in that job.

#27) Monday, May 12, 2008
Great pic of you with the shells and cheese.

#28) Wednesday, May 14, 2008
I don't like you comparing Becca's kitten to the size of St. Bernard poop. But I still think it's funny.

I also like the word bloglog. It sounds like you're chugging gatoraid.

Why am I still awake?

#29) Wednesday, May 14, 2008

more cat pictures

#30) Tuesday, May 20, 2008
oh boy... a reservoir of ice. Clearly this mission is of value to all Americans. Thanks for alerting us to its importance. Great post!

#31) Thursday, May 29, 2008
yes, wow. These are great cliffs notes for the summary you sent us.

Relatedly, I think all cliffs notes should be done in LOLCAT.

#32) Wednesday, June 04, 2008
"Icicles are lovely to poop on."

Excellent post.

#33) Thursday, June 05, 2008
Yeah, I'm a total video game novice, but Mariokart is awesome. If only real driving were as much fun.

#34) Monday, June 23, 2008
Thanks Anna! we should go back sometime and look for more ridiculously fearless wildlife.

#35) Tuesday, June 24, 2008
I think my favourite part is the creepy breathy sound.

#36) Monday, July 28, 2008
Dang, I have to start working on my comment total too. Starting... NOW!

#37) Monday, August 04, 2008
Happy Birthday URI!Zone! I am a big fan of RSS feeding. Just don't feed me TOO much bacon. -Rebecca Sarah Schum

#38) Monday, August 11, 2008
Lately I feel like there are a ridiculous number of "bike-gear" people. I like being fit and all, but I still don't understand the point of spending tons of bank on clothes you're just going to get all sweaty. But I do understand the appeal of shorts with butt padding.

#39) Thursday, August 14, 2008
That Yo Mama blog is pretty good stuff Diana. I never knew the blogs were ordered that way until now. Well, this seems as good of a time as any to plug Guys Eating Stuff. I've had some awesome contributions in the past few months, but lately I think even my loyal readers are tired of seeing pictures of Brian eating stuff. Sadly, we are sliding to the bottom of the bloglog. I promise any submitted photos would be featured... like, immediately.

#40) Monday, August 18, 2008
ah coldplay. I am so over coldplay. I hope that doesn't make anyone think too much less of me, but aside from my roommate's coldplay ringtone (which I still enjoy singing along with except in the morning) I'm so over it. If I hear it in another movie soundtrack... argh.

#41) Tuesday, August 19, 2008
I like it-- that was super fun. Wishing I were at the beach...

#42) Thursday, August 21, 2008
excellent first sentence...

#43) Monday, August 25, 2008
Since I turned the ripe old age of 11, my ability to remember jokes is gone. But I do remember these: So a mushroom walks into a bar. The owner says "we don't serve your kind here" and the mushroom says "Why not, I'm a fun guy." and my favorite: What do you call cheese that doesn't belong to you? Nacho cheese!

#44) Thursday, September 04, 2008
Girls who were 5'2 made the lightweight boat at TC? Well I should have rowed for them because at Yorktown you had to be at least 5'7 to be on the lightweight boat. Yes, 5'7 AND 120 pounds. But who's bitter?

#45) Monday, September 15, 2008
If you guys are lucky, maybe Brian will leave the duck-head up for a while :) Happy BUrthday!

#46) Monday, September 22, 2008
I haven't had fried hostess twinkies, but I bet they are a little bit of heaven. The fried oreos were pretty darn amazing-- the indigestion was not.

#47) Tuesday, September 30, 2008
Breast news day ever! But how can you loose with cows, ice cream, and... well (though this isn't a particular selling point for me) breasts.

#48) Monday, October 06, 2008
Thanks for the congrats everybody! yay!!

#49) Monday, October 27, 2008
Thanks Diana! I'm glad you had a good baby-free night! I do have to direct the general appreciation toward Anna though - she did an AMAZING job with decorations, food, and the guess-what-villain-you-are game. Hooray Anna! Yay Halloween!

#50) Wednesday, October 29, 2008
Just imagine how much MORE impressed I would have been if you'd showed me your magic set on our first date!

#51) Friday, October 31, 2008
The way that my windows media player makes those clips run over and over in quick succession makes them even better :)

#52) Thursday, November 06, 2008
WOOHOO WER GOIN TO TH'FAIR!

#53) Thursday, November 06, 2008
(that's what I'm saying in my picture)

#54) Thursday, November 06, 2008
plus, I have to get my comment count up.... #55, going on #466....

#55) Thursday, November 13, 2008
During freshman crew, I put my whole leg into the Potomac while climbing from the crew boat to the coach's launch boat on the day the varsity girls were rowing with us. It doesn't seem like a big deal now, but it was pretty funny at the time.

#56) Thursday, November 13, 2008
Wow - Diana, you're stories are the best!

#57) Thursday, November 20, 2008
Haha, I was about to comment saying "Oh so THATS WHY you all love WOW so much" but I see we've already acknowledged that. Also, Block Party sounds like a winner.

#58) Monday, December 01, 2008
on second thought, I think it's time for me to stop wearing that shirt in pictures.

#59) Thursday, December 04, 2008
Here are my thoughts on these: Ingrid Michaelson: If you ignore the covers, I give it an A. Wallis Bird: "Brian, what is this? Are you listening to Ani DiFranco?" (Sounds kinda like Ani DiFranco). David Jordan: Really looks like Wallace now that you mention it!

#60) Wednesday, December 10, 2008
Mmm Jumbo Slice! Just eat half of a normal size pizza of questionable quality and you'll know what it feels like, Anna. Actually about 50% of the time, it feels that way, the other 50% of the time its worth the trip!

#61) Wednesday, December 10, 2008
yeah, when we went it was on one of Jumbo Slice's bad days.

#62) Monday, December 22, 2008
I have a yuletide crush.... on YOU. and I also like money. Come on people - we have less than an hour left!!!

#63) Wednesday, December 24, 2008
Happy Kwanzaa everyone!!

#64) Monday, January 05, 2009
Hahah wow! My hair rocks! Actually at my stepmom's request I had my hair cut and "blow-dried and finished" before the party where that picture was taken. Its amazing what a few hair products and a blowdryer can do! Oh hair.

#65) Monday, January 05, 2009
ooh and it's in my new avatar! and we look like we're holding buttercups.

#66) Friday, January 09, 2009
Sam, you can come, but only if our wedding gets "Handstanded"... j/k :) And Iowa is hilly. It's a common misconception though.

#67) Friday, January 09, 2009
hahahah wow. Doobie what do you have against Iowa? I don't think it's that bad but I guess it depends what you came for.

#68) Friday, January 23, 2009
that's your NEW strategy?

#69) Wednesday, January 28, 2009
ouch, don't be hatin' on the snow. Sno' problem for me so far! My Toyota rocks. Aaaaah Dawson's Creek!

#70) Thursday, February 05, 2009
I would love to see the Janitor's cameo - that sounds amazing! But not the rest of the movie probably...

#71) Friday, February 27, 2009
hahahah, wow I just read these. I'll take "popping out" over "pooping out" any day. In any case, congrats to Rosie and Jason!!

#72) Tuesday, March 03, 2009
I just had to try it!

#73) Tuesday, March 03, 2009
OMG wow. My first CDs were..... AMY GRANT......... HOLLY DUNN....... REBA McINTIRE..... then finally.... THE CRANBERRIES. I'm not proud...

#74) Thursday, March 05, 2009
I can't believe I didn't get the REM one!! Other than that, I don't know #7 or #10... showing my age I guess?

#75) Monday, March 16, 2009
I'm glad you feel as strongly about the "overroll" toilet paper policy. Maybe we should put something about that in our vows.

#76) Thursday, March 26, 2009
Mmmmm... wine and toe cheese party.

#77) Monday, April 20, 2009
I LOVE the birthdays feature - I don't look at facebook enough for the birthdays listed there to help me remember any birthdays. Happy birthday Marc!

#78) Wednesday, May 06, 2009
tehehe. Excellent picture! And Cinco de Mayo was delicious :)

#79) Thursday, May 07, 2009
Happy Birthday Erin!

#80) Thursday, May 28, 2009
haha - yep, I'm always dreaming about whatever TV show we're watching most at the time. Alias is particularly addictive though... I also dream about work -- or have spy dreams where I'm calling customers to get some intel on their t-shirt orders. The other night I dreamed I was a spy with overdue library books.

#81) Friday, May 29, 2009
Haha - thanks Anna, he is really well potty trained and is great to have around the house :)

#82) Monday, June 22, 2009
Happy Birthday Brianne!!

#83) Monday, August 03, 2009
Let's find out shall we?

#84) Monday, August 03, 2009
oh nice... Definitely not a sea turtle.

#85) Tuesday, September 15, 2009
Happy birthday!

#86) Wednesday, November 04, 2009
Or Turtle Beach.

#87) Wednesday, November 11, 2009
Today traffic was MUCH faster than usual on my way to work, even though it was raining (which usually makes every driver in No.VA freak out). I thought it was just a happy coincidence until I remembered Veterans' day. Thanks Veterans' day!

#88) Friday, November 13, 2009
This post could have read "as well as HAMming it up for Thanksgiving #2 on Sunday night!" sorry everyone... I'm trying to increase my comment count.

#89) Monday, November 30, 2009
yep, I think that's the only way to go with curtains. Either I'll do it or find someone handy with a sewing machine.

#90) Tuesday, December 01, 2009
haha Mike, wow. Just, wow. Those were fun to read while listening to the clips too :)

#91) Tuesday, January 12, 2010
Dirty dishes in the sink? Your wife must really be a slacker!

#92) Monday, January 25, 2010
Kathy - that game was awesome! I'm listening to our new ipod/clock radio right now. Thanks FGM for the push to join the 21st century!

#93) Tuesday, January 26, 2010
This is a lot more exciting then most of the marimba music I heard in Guatemala. Maybe it could be marketed internationally.

#94) Monday, January 25, 2010
Capitalize the I, insert a space after the I, and add a 2nd o.

#95) Friday, January 29, 2010
Love the fish in the bikini.

#96) Tuesday, February 02, 2010
Tsk tsk, hubby. Vamos a practicar!

#97) Thursday, August 05, 2010
1) Who are you? Brian's wifey. 2) How do you know me? I ordered you online. (Yep, that's still funny!) 3) How and when did you find this site? Early 2007 when you sent me a link to reel me in. 4) Where is your website? Saying I have an actual website would be a stretch. If you like pictures of guys eating, you can see that here: http://www.guyseatingstuff.net/ 5) What would you like to say to the rest of us? Heeeyyyy!

#98) Wednesday, September 08, 2010
I'm glad they left to eat and didn't eat you! If they did, I would be sad.

#99) Friday, November 05, 2010
I'm glad I will never have to get a pet ferret, or a boob job, and that all the avocados in the house will be eaten by me. Not to mention the fact that I will never have to know what Stealth-Based FPS Games are. I have the best husband ever.

#100) Friday, November 05, 2010
Woohoo, 100 comments!!

#101) Wednesday, December 08, 2010
Best day ever!!

#102) Wednesday, December 08, 2010
I can't believe more people didn't comment on these. Especially the sheep (although Ella and Booty are awesome too).

#103) Monday, December 13, 2010
BU's soup = AMAZING. Paige, clearly Amber and I are the more memorable ones. Definitely come by in January!

#104) Thursday, December 16, 2010
Woah, I didn't see your original Grinnell graphic. Hilarious! And though I don't know any WOW playing alums (I was too busy studying, etc. in college), I'm sure you're correct that there are many.

#105) Tuesday, January 25, 2011
Excellent, especially the last one. Shoo, with such awesome posters, I can't believe I missed these recitals!

#106) Monday, March 14, 2011
I can't believe Booty was whispering sweet nothings into your ear in the morning -- That's MY job!

#107) Wednesday, May 25, 2011
Wow!! Looks amazing!

#108) Wednesday, July 13, 2011
Hahaha. You guys are too much. I'm trying reeealy hard not to be too influenced by the color name. But the names are sooo cooooool. Glorious gold, Hawaiian passion, mango madness, twenty carat, etc.

#109) Wednesday, July 13, 2011
tee hee hee.

#110) Monday, August 01, 2011
1) 2007, when you wrote an awesome pun about ice-clean-clones. 2) Your kitchen table. Mwa hahahah. Creepy, eh? 3) The Uri!Zone allowed me to stalk you obsessively in the early months of our courtship. I think I perused "222 things about me" so I would have a few things to talk about on our first date.

#111) Thursday, August 18, 2011
Wow - this is TOTALLY NEW Brian Uri information! The mystery lives on! (A good reason for me to continue reading the Uri!Zone).

#112) Friday, September 02, 2011
Yay! Kitties are awesome.

#113) Wednesday, September 14, 2011
Such a smart ass. I love you.

#114) Monday, December 05, 2011
Knowing that I am going to eat steak makes me so excited I do karate chops in the air. I think "Steaks for lunch?!?! Hyah!!" ... although that might not be what Doobie means. and I guess karate chops are more like "Hi-yah!" oh well. I thought it was a funny mental image anyway.

#115) Wednesday, December 21, 2011
Really? Those are the things you eat? NO WAYYYYYY! On a side note, at least we don't eat totinos anymore...

#116) Tuesday, December 20, 2011
This is catchy and entertaining enough to listen to in the car or while running. Love it. Also, if you can't get William Shatner for your CD, I can contribute by reading the definitions in my best William Shatner voice. Also, Chris, I think you are right.

#117) Friday, January 13, 2012
Not pictured: Rebecca's award collection.

#118) Friday, January 27, 2012
Too bad you're not smelling upbeat.

#119) Friday, February 03, 2012
Yikes. I'm glad you take better care of our future babies now.

#120) Thursday, February 09, 2012
Just wanted to echo Brian's review of the Dragon Tattoo movie - I don't feel most movies that are this long are worth my time, but this one was. It's not for the faint of heart or stomach, and I don't want to over-hype it, but two weeks later, I'm still randomly thinking of it and thinking "dang, that was awesome."

#121) Wednesday, February 15, 2012
Why couldn't you just buy into the hype, Uri? It sometimes does make life more fun. Also, I wonder how long it would take for the average American to notice if we replaced the senators with cabbage patch kids...

#122) Monday, March 05, 2012
It's kind of scary that physicians and paramedics are the 4th most sleep deprived (but looks like they only get one minute less than you). When I was a "sales representative" I did get tons of sleep -- going to bed early and waking up late is the way to go.

#123) Thursday, March 01, 2012
That DOES look like Jason Segel! weird... Now I'm going back and imagining scenes from the movie with him in Ryan Gosling's place. haha!

#124) Thursday, March 08, 2012
Just throwing in my 2 cents here even though BU uses this more than me(!). Subtitles on the TV are good if you go fast, AND the iPod thingy is good enough and super convenient if you like to control your music while running (vs turning on the stereo across the room). Super nice to have, and I'd certainly recommend this if your budget/space allow for it!

#125) Wednesday, March 07, 2012
hahaha. Nice one, Mike!

#126) Monday, March 26, 2012
Sounds like a fun day. Since I couldn't have been there because I wasn't born yet, I'm glad my backpack was there.

#127) Friday, April 20, 2012
Me + Word processing = fail. Today I was working on my FIRST EVER power point presentation for school. I don't know how I managed to avoid doing a power point for so long.

#128) Friday, April 20, 2012
Thanks Mike! I think so too. Brianne -- Don't worry, if I can figure it out, I'm sure you can! In high school my excel skills were money. Alas, I have de-excel-ed since then...

#129) Monday, May 07, 2012
I didn't think I would like Game of Thrones at all, but as usual, I got sucked in. Way to get me hooked again, HBO.

#130) Friday, May 18, 2012
Hey, lie off the grammar problem's! (sorry, I couldn't resist..). I had no idea about the nauseous/nauseated distinction. I can't believe no one told me until now. I feel NAUSEATED just thinking about it!

#131) Friday, August 17, 2012
Here's what I remember about some of those movies: Micheal Clayton: George Clooney? Lawyers? Married Life: Unhappy married people. Someone having an affair with Rachel McAdams's character? I Heart Huckabees: Weird stuff. Blond chick? Snatch: Brad Pitt has incomprehensible British accent in a hardly-tolerable heist movie (?).

#132) Friday, August 24, 2012
This was SOOO good and really fun to make!

#133) Friday, August 24, 2012
Anna: wow, that's awesome!! BUillon cubes came in handy just recently when I forgot "chicken broth" during a trip to safeway, even though I was on a mission to JUST buy things for a stir-fry recipe. The cubes worked just fine, even though I was afraid they would make it gross.

#134) Wednesday, August 29, 2012
I love this picture of both of you!!

#135) Wednesday, September 05, 2012
I like that you made your own game of Clue. Fun!

#136) Monday, September 24, 2012
Mike, what a benevolent thing to do with your chest hair! Maybe you could also use it to make a wig for a cancer patient.

#137) Friday, September 28, 2012
There's a mini-Anna in our house!!

#138) Friday, October 05, 2012
haha! Reminds me of how I used to feel about the vacuum when I was little.

#139) Wednesday, October 17, 2012
Fun! I like it!

#140) Thursday, October 18, 2012
The Dictator was actually great for stress relief, plus, as a Grinnell grad, I enjoyed all the jokes about the short-haired, organic-grocery-selling, non-armpit-shaving, womens' studies major. And coconut water. Making fun of hippie stuff is the best.

#141) Thursday, October 18, 2012
And WE LOVE HOMELAND. Just in case Brian didn't say that enough.

#142) Thursday, October 18, 2012
Plus, someday I want to have more comments then Brianne!

#143) Thursday, October 18, 2012
B, I'm doing a physical therapist assistant program -- I'll be done in May!

#144) Thursday, October 18, 2012
haha -- Indeed! Are you working toward something with the anatomy class? Or just seeing what you like?

#145) Tuesday, October 23, 2012
hahaha. Nice Mike! Living with other PT/OT students, we've all been telling each other, "Hey you looked great over there doing x." Nice to know that we at least look good while we're working with patients... We are pulling it off!! Fake it till you make it, right?

#146) Thursday, October 18, 2012
Awesome! Healthcare is a good place to be -- more and more people become old every day.

#147) Wednesday, October 24, 2012
Haha, Mom! Oh shells and cheese... swirly velveeta goodness.... sigh.

#148) Wednesday, October 24, 2012
Good pun, Emily! I'm so proud!

#149) Monday, October 29, 2012
Thanks Paige! See that guy next to me? I cut his face with my hair. Yeah.

#150) Wednesday, November 07, 2012
Aww.. I love this picture!

#151) Thursday, November 15, 2012
Why didn't you eat the chocolates? You are weird.

#152) Wednesday, November 21, 2012
Good job, honey. You made this video game-related post entertaining enough that I read all the way to the end of it! Also, I think a better title for the second Wii would be "Wii Y." Because... well... why?

Argo rocked - My favorite thing about it was that it didn't make you feel stupid for not knowing enough about the history of the situation -- it set up the story nicely, so that even though none of my history classes ever got that far, I understood what was going on.

#154) Friday, November 30, 2012
This post is hilarious. So are Doobie's comments, not just today, but most of the time. His photo just makes it better, because I imagine him saying the comment, then making that face.

#155) Tuesday, January 08, 2013
In 7th grade my middle school offered a guitar class, and since both my aunt and cousin played the guitar, I signed up and loved it. Then I moved to Arlington where there was no guitar class at school, but my parents had me take lessons from a guy who taught classical guitar -- tween me quickly lost interest. Then, briefly in high school I took some lessons from a cool teacher who came to my house and would listen to my sublime, sugar ray and fiona apple CDs and write down the music for me to practice along with the CDs -- great fun for emo high school me, but I got busy with school plays after a while, and it fell by the wayside. Its still fun to occasionally strum along with my family (who are much more accomplished musicians) but I guess I'm just not that into it on my own.

#156) Wednesday, January 23, 2013
Good thing you have me to help you find your way through a colorful world.

#157) Thursday, January 24, 2013
I can't believe how goofy the cover photo of House of Lies is. Don Cheadle looks goofy. His character is not goofy. Morally depraved? Yes. Goofy? No. Definitely not.

#158) Wednesday, February 06, 2013
This poem really speaks to me and gives me a new understanding about the viscous nature of capitalism and the American mystique. Also, I seem to remember drawing a lot of houses and cats. Just shows that I have everything I ever wanted!

#159) Wednesday, February 06, 2013
Also, thank goodness I am now trained to help you with the gait and balance issues that would clearly result from the physique depicted here.

#160) Thursday, February 07, 2013
Everybody is a genius? But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid? - Einstein?

#161) Tuesday, February 12, 2013
Hey, those are some really cool plates you're eating off of! Also, I'm glad Booty had the modesty to look away from the crotch shot.

#162) Wednesday, February 13, 2013
What?? I said I smoked "occasionally"?? That's weird. Smoking is bad for you.

#163) Thursday, February 14, 2013
I guess I am one of the chicks who usually likes Johnny Depp. He stole my heart in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" I was almost sold on Alice in Wonderland as a newer "Labyrinth"-type story, but the lack of David Bowie meant it didn't live up to the label.

#164) Thursday, February 14, 2013
I also like "Celeste and Jesse Forever" much better as a "relationship story" type movie than that agonizing-to-watch "500 Days of Zooey Deschanel Torturing 3rd-Rock-from-the-Sun-Kid." Also, the extremely fun song that plays during the opening credits of "Justified" is worth mentioning. I haven't watched the show, but I've been jamming out to that rap-bluegrass fusion tune whenever Brian starts a new episode.

#165) Friday, March 08, 2013
Good job, Kathy! Cool contest idea.

#166) Tuesday, April 23, 2013
Yikes... Reminds me of when I ask a patient to do an exercise on the wrong leg. "Oh, wow, that looks really easy for you... oh... durrrrr."

#167) Friday, May 10, 2013
I like this fun montage. Who are the people in the bathrobes on the bottom row of photos? Weird.

#168) Tuesday, May 07, 2013
Heyyyy. Something funny. I don't have a blog (you're welcome, everyone!) -- you do enough of that for the both of us.

#169) Friday, May 17, 2013
Thanks Mom and B!

#170) Wednesday, May 22, 2013
Your cooking has greatly improved! In May 2003 I was finishing my sophomore year of college and getting ready to start working as a camp counselor for the summer. You are old.

#171) Tuesday, May 28, 2013
hahaha! wow!!

#172) Thursday, May 30, 2013
Also, Yvonne Strahovski (a.k.a. Sarah Walker, female bad-ass extraordinaire from "Chuck") is in Dexter Season 7. And she's fabulous!!

#173) Monday, June 03, 2013
Release party!

#174) Tuesday, June 04, 2013
You forgot "vegetables"! Good thing I'm around to remind you!

#175) Wednesday, June 05, 2013
Those plants are almost as tall as your mom!

#176) Thursday, June 06, 2013
Clearly your lawn mowing is no longer the creative outlet/opportunity for self expression that it once was. You used to walk out and start the lawn mower thinking "the possibilities are endless... anything could happen, let's go for a ride!" No more. (And hey, that's probably alright -- ain't nobody got time for lawn-mower art).

#177) Tuesday, June 11, 2013
Your cats in burritos are awesome. Speaking of cats and food, I'm 29 and I use the internet to look at things like this: http://omgcatsinspace.tumblr.com/ That can't be a good sign.

#178) Monday, June 17, 2013
Something isn't working as expected in YOUR back-end....

#179) Tuesday, July 09, 2013
Becca-Boo Becky Reba Schum-dogg Shooooom Preg-nasty

#180) Thursday, July 18, 2013
The further I get from my high school theatre department (we were GOOD, y'all) the more I can enjoy "Whose Line." As someone who hasn't watched a lot of the show, I thought the premiere was fun, and didn't notice the explanations of games being long. Since we don't have TIVO it was nice to have an activity nearby so we'd have something to do during the many commercial breaks.

#181) Thursday, July 18, 2013
haha -- We tried to do that with burgers. It didn't stick. But TV stuff, that we could try!

#182) Monday, July 29, 2013
Haha -- well said, Mom.

#183) Wednesday, August 07, 2013
Ah, that was a simpler time!

#184) Thursday, October 03, 2013
Awesome. Here's to 4 MORE YEARS of the Uri! marriage! I think my favorite thing about this photo is Kristy's new tattoo.

#185) Friday, October 18, 2013
Doobie and BU need to really apply themselves to eating practice. Eat more! And... omg, slow down when you eat, the food isn't going to run away.

#186) Friday, October 25, 2013
I'm pretty sure that the October 2012 drop in water consumption occurred because I was in Winchester using another county's water.

#187) Monday, November 04, 2013
If it does, my soul sure has a lot of devil in it. You wouldn't know it, would you? I seem sooo nice....

#188) Wednesday, November 13, 2013
Not very humble "Master Zorker." But that sounds like a good nickname -- Master Zorker!!

#189) Friday, November 15, 2013
It seems that I have to bring my own pens to work if I want to be able to write anything down. Twice I have asked if there are any extra pens around, and both times my manager has just handed me the pen she was using. Meanwhile, there are plenty of iPods available.

#190) Friday, December 06, 2013
You didn't want to eat breakfast?!?! You are so weird. Eating breakfast is the BEST thing about getting out of bed in the morning.

#191) Wednesday, December 11, 2013
Time to make a mix CD!

#192) Tuesday, January 21, 2014
Our district is an angry mocking jay! Love it.

#193) Thursday, February 13, 2014
hahahahahahah

#194) Friday, February 21, 2014
I would watch speed skating if there were a polar bear. Speed skating is the worst.

#195) Thursday, February 27, 2014
hahah. Doobie and Mom, excellent advice. I plan to follow it also.

#196) Tuesday, March 11, 2014
Demon-kitty wants some Kirkland.

#197) Friday, April 18, 2014
I believe this is the first time I have read a whole post about computer games. What kind of nerd are you turning me into? OMG HEARTHSTONE.

#198) Friday, April 18, 2014
Kathy --- yay! Time for a LAN party.

#199) Monday, April 28, 2014
Well-- it's not like it was EASY to beat him. especially with the shaman. I always feel like the shaman is making an astonishing comeback when he wins. I guess that's why I like him.

#200) Friday, May 02, 2014
I definitely want a Cornballer in my hand! (hopefully that sounded inappropriate enough).

#201) Monday, June 09, 2014
I need to find some lazy friends with fitbit -- Mike and Sam both seem to be training/climbing mountains every day. I'd like to see YOU do that while pushing an old person in a wheelchair.

#202) Monday, June 09, 2014
hahahaha!

#203) Thursday, June 12, 2014
I used to get sushi for us from HT when I worked near one in Tysons -- I'd say HT sushi is of equal quality to Wegmans (both HT and Wegmans are MUCH better than Trader Joe's and Safeway sushi).

#204) Wednesday, July 09, 2014
Yay Mike! So are we!

#205) Wednesday, July 30, 2014
KBS -- I am sitting across from Brian and just said the same thing, "Um, honey, I think that's Hannah!"

#206) Monday, August 25, 2014
Thanks for coming Anna! Nature, yay! I love my new card backs.

#207) Monday, September 15, 2014
I am glad you had that 2010-era neck tumor removed... Oh wait... you didn't...

#208) Tuesday, October 14, 2014
Maybe the deer will hug trees? If they are "hippie" enough...

#209) Friday, November 14, 2014
I LOVE quizzes... solid 100, but I guessed on #2. Oh dear... You are no longer mysterious...

#210) Thursday, December 04, 2014
Woah... you ALL beat my score... I'm not even going to say it. WHAT THE HECK IS "SNEAKERS"?!?! Is that a real movie??

#211) Friday, January 09, 2015
1) Zero. And I don't know... maybe three? Four? 2) Sterling. 3) How to make a decent Hearthstone deck. 4) Some expensive PT related continuing ed course and/or some expensive yoga teacher training.

#212) Thursday, February 26, 2015
hahahahah. MIKE and MIKE FIGHTS!! Very funny. I am sad I didn't like GotG... I tried, I did. Why did the main female have to be green?

#213) Tuesday, April 21, 2015
This review of Mike is hilarious, especially the first con. I can't even handle it. hilarious.

#214) Tuesday, May 05, 2015
Ugh -- only a 70%. Let's hope this is Arlington County Public Schools and I pass.

#215) Thursday, May 07, 2015
heh heh -- Just like some of Brian's puns, your joke was so intelligent that it took me a minute to figure out. :D

#216) Wednesday, May 06, 2015
While you were lurking creepily while the Spellerberg daughters played the piano, I was schlepping ice cream (and ROCKING at it) just a few blocks from your parents house.

#217) Monday, May 18, 2015
I showed one of my patients that picture of the snakes and (after I insisted she get up AGAIN and walk) she said "You are one hard woman, hiking around with snakes!" I took it as a compliment.

#218) Wednesday, October 14, 2015
"The tour was definitely a high point." -- I see what you did there :)

#219) Tuesday, December 08, 2015
Agreed, especially re: Elizabeth and the Catapult. Finally I like some of your chick music.

#220) Monday, December 21, 2015
You are the most productive sick person I have ever seen. I love how you say you had to lie around, but then you still did laundry, groceries and cleaned the house.

#221) Tuesday, July 12, 2016
Do you think I have enough bags? Haha

#222) Tuesday, July 26, 2016
Sounds good to me!! you have my vote! But if you win... can we relocate the white house to Bluemont VA or Grindewald, Switzerland? I don't want to move to DC.

#223) Monday, September 12, 2016
The slug on your top bun looks delicious. OHHHH that's mustard....

#224) Wednesday, November 09, 2016
As usual, you've said it well. I love you!

#225) Wednesday, April 12, 2017
YOU DIDN'T SAVE ME ANY ANNIE'S SHELLS?!?!? You don't love me.

#226) Wednesday, August 02, 2017
Two beers next time!!

#227) Wednesday, November 22, 2017
I am so glad you liked susan?s Book! I am reading it now. If any of you (readers) are interested, her book is available on amazon for kindle and in paperback!

#228) Friday, December 15, 2017
Wow! Lots of big changes this year!

#229) Friday, June 22, 2018
<3

#230) Monday, October 15, 2018
I love your series of ?said no one ever.? You should post more status updates. My feed could use some humor.

#231) Wednesday, November 28, 2018
Despite how I feel about golf, That golf puzzle looks cool. We should hang it on a wall!

#232) Friday, December 14, 2018
I can't stop looking at these! OUR BABY IS THE CUTEST BABY IN THE WORLD.

#233) Monday, February 04, 2019
Who are you? -- Your Wife. Where do you live? -- In your house. How does the URI! Zone fit into your daily routine? -- Usually I catch up weekly? Every 2 weeks? ...Over a quiet breakfast when I wake up early enough for one!

#234) Monday, February 04, 2019
I agree -- if Chompy-Mike doesn't reply, time for a swap of the nomenclature!

#235) Wednesday, March 20, 2019
Haha, Marc... I also DID NOT EXIST YET. We can band together to make Brian feel even older than he is!

#236) Wednesday, March 27, 2019
I love this drawing!

#237) Monday, November 04, 2019
Finally! A platform that addresses my needs!

#238) Friday, June 05, 2020
The selfie light ring shines directly into my eyes when clipped to the monitor. Its distracting and I don't like it. Boo-hoo.

#239) Wednesday, October 28, 2020
a phone tree to wake everyone?!?! What's wrong with alarm clocks? Last I checked we did have those 25 years ago...

#240) Wednesday, January 20, 2021
No 9/11 related papers?

#241) Wednesday, May 05, 2021
Omg yes Mike? I have been peed and pooped on several times. With baby girls if they pee while you are changing them it just dribbles down into the diaper - no problem!

#242) Monday, May 31, 2021
Next time MJ!

#243) Wednesday, June 23, 2021
those are our tails!

#244) Monday, June 28, 2021
Ok, let's clarify when you say our baby has a fungus. It's a tiny spot of thrush (a super common infection for newborns) on his tongue. He is still super clean, you guys. Also he does smile when he is awake, but you do have to work for it. He doesn't give them out for free yet.

#245) Monday, June 28, 2021
Also, you might have been more confused about the "fungus" if I had texted "he has A thrush in his mouth" instead of "he has thrush in his mouth."

#246) Friday, June 25, 2021
Man, sure would be nice if "free time" was actually free. It's driving Maia to camp and back or always around at least one child. Also, boy do I wish that block of AM sleep were a block instead of time interrupted by 1-3 feedings and associated care that take 40 mins to 2 hours each. Just don't want any future parents out there to get the idea that there is a huge block of uninterrupted sleep.

#247) Wednesday, July 14, 2021
I love this. She took a picture of her feet!!

#248) Wednesday, July 21, 2021
Wow. Unreal.

#249) Monday, July 19, 2021
Love that MJ! Thank you for sharing!

#250) Monday, September 06, 2021
yes! or a band...

#251) Wednesday, September 15, 2021
I'm glad you had that goiter removed after 2010.

#252) Wednesday, October 20, 2021
It's a catchy tune! I just sang it a few minutes ago, before I knew that you posted this!

#253) Friday, October 22, 2021
this review doesn't include information about the good-looking beat-saber-arms you are developing. <3

#254) Wednesday, February 02, 2022
UGH, the Commanders?!?! What does that even mean?

#255) Wednesday, February 09, 2022
awww I also miss that mug -- a souvenir mug from St. Louis from an old college friend! Booty also made it very difficult to study with good posture (even though I was literally studying how to have good posture...).

#256) Wednesday, March 16, 2022
BOOTY BOOTY!

#257) Wednesday, March 30, 2022
My review of Brian Uri: Continues to amaze and delight. Five Stars.

#258) Monday, April 11, 2022
Carol, your age is a perfect square!!

#259) Monday, May 09, 2022
Me too, KBS. Me too.

#260) Monday, May 16, 2022
Who are you? Your wife. What is the most satisfying thing in life? Raising our babies with you. What have you done or hope to do in 2022? Continue doing that! and take some naps.

#261) Friday, June 03, 2022
she said that in November ALL her classmates drew all the fingers and toes! So it must have been a trend that went out of style in a few months.

#262) Wednesday, June 08, 2022
of course he bathes -- his mother raised him well!

#263) Friday, June 10, 2022
these are hilarious and also show what a conscientious co-worker you are. I guess all the energy you used to spend on these exercises can now be used to improve our home life. Hooray for me!!

#264) Wednesday, June 22, 2022
Thank you! It's great to be 1!

#265) Wednesday, July 20, 2022
We also have two kids now, so less travel!

#266) Monday, August 29, 2022
I love this honest and brave post. I also like to look at that picture of Ian and remind myself how peaceful and clean he was (as our student nurse said "such a clean baby!")

#267) Wednesday, September 14, 2022
I love these videos so much!

#268) Wednesday, September 28, 2022
Grey kitties!!!

#269) Monday, October 10, 2022

#271) Wednesday, January 25, 2023
yay!! 10 years! happy Anniversary guys!

#272) Wednesday, February 08, 2023
ah yes, it was a more simple time. I miss lying on the floor with Booty and my green phone.

#273) Friday, February 24, 2023
Hustlers. SO GOOD. Also I want there to be more shows like Cunk on Earth. Man... we have been watching some good stuff lately!!

#274) Monday, March 13, 2023
hahah - not bad, Mom -- I did have to remove my glasses to avoid smooshing. Also, as I look at this 12 of 12, I remember 12 of 12s of years gone by when I would be featured "here's rebecca coming home from work" or "here's my hot wife for no apparent reason" but this time the only picture of me is when I am at the bottom of a pile of children. I WAS LITERALLY HOME ALLLLLLL DAAAAYYYYY!

#275) Wednesday, April 19, 2023
Stay tuned for when he re-writes all of the URIZONE! posts in Spanish.

#276) Friday, April 28, 2023
What about the KT Tunstall album from 2022 that we just discovered? I guess it's not "amazing" but its worth a listen if you like her other stuff. I personally like it. :)

#277) Wednesday, May 31, 2023
TOOO MUCH SICK

#278) Wednesday, August 23, 2023
I just read this post to the kids. Maia says "I Like the pink trees." and Ian immediately repeated "I like the pink trees."

#279) Wednesday, November 22, 2023
wow - that is a LOT of people eating a LOT of food. Also, that is a LOT of cheese.

#280) Wednesday, December 06, 2023
ooooh - quite tight in the top three. NO MERCY. COBRA KAIIIIII!

#281) Wednesday, January 31, 2024
Can we play "Hey That's My Fish" on those impressive hexagons?

#282) Monday, January 29, 2024
Now we just need to take a new version of this photo!

#283) Friday, April 05, 2024
eh, Key and Peele is new to me! Things that are old will eventually come around and be new again. It happens in fashion, so maybe it will happen with our bones, Evil Mike!

#284) Wednesday, April 10, 2024
1992? THIRTY-two years ago. We are so ooooollllllddddd.
