Aww, I didn't receive that email...I wonder if it had anything to do with my "pristine" reputation in the music dept at VT.........

P.S. Go to hell Kelley, stop playing halo, and call me sometime.

I, for some reason, find myself gravitated towards curling. I still think it's some type of weight-lifting competition every time I see the name...maybe I should open a "Curling Alley." I'm sure there would be a niche for this in FL. Who wants to be my shoe rental person?

#3) Wednesday, February 22, 2006
I don't remember 40 Fridays...I think there's a reason for that. I was in Chappy's rank...the drunkest of them all, so I don't quite remember much from that season. I do remember arriving to practice late one day after our "rank war" (we won btw) and the band was already going through the program. It wasn't hard to find the empty void in the field where we were supposed to be. I actually think that select members of the jesus rank, aka Kelley and Shaq, were present at that rank war.

Don't you watch commercials Brian...you're supposed to relate everything in terms of the Wendy's dollar menu.

I think my excessive use of ... is starting to get to me.

Good thing Kelley keeps in touch with people in general. Visit Florida you ass...it was 80 today.

#5) Wednesday, February 22, 2006
Was that before or after you spent time pissing in open windows and passing out on toilets?

#6) Thursday, February 23, 2006
I have my Rio Red 747 Swingline stapler on my desk at work.

#7) Friday, February 24, 2006
Comedy Central is pretty much useless to me. Out of my 150+ channels, I probably watch the same 10 channels 95% of the time...and if nothing is on those, ON DEMAND here I come. In fact, the only reason I have digital cable is because of DVR...the greatest thing to happen to TV since the on-screen guide. Advertisers must hate me now, I'll start watching a show 10 minutes after it starts, just so I can fast foward through all the commercials and still end on time.

Har har

Penguins are cute, until you have to feed some. You literally have to slide the fish down their throat whole...

#10) Monday, February 27, 2006
I think you're confusing the Adult Video Awards with the Oscars.

:)

The thing I like about bowling alleys is the urge to get drunk. There's something about hurling a 12 pound ball down a wood lane in a smokey environment that screams out "LET'S GET HAMMERED!"

#12) Monday, March 27, 2006
I, myself, happen to know what you are talking about, as I have owned the DS since x-mas of 04! I only own 3 games for it, Mariocart DS (the best reason to purchase the DS), Madden 05 (it was the only game out I wanted to play when I got it...I've lost it since...), and a Gameboy advanced 3pack of Risk, Battleship and Clue...which I received as a present.

All I must say is DO NOT play nintendogs in public. The fact that you actually have to talk to the thing can be quite embarassing....as is trying to inflate your extra balloons in battlemode on MKDS...which I actually had to READ the manual to figure out.

All in all it's one of the best MK games in the series...you can play many of the "best retro" maps from the other consoles, but the battlemaps still pale in comparison to those of the original.

I now have my eyes set on the Revolution...as I've found myself not interested in the "new" age of consoles as much as the fact I will be able to download "20 years of fan-favorite titles originally released for N64, SNES and the NES! Although I have found "other" ways to experience the classics, a new system at $200 is appealing to myself.

#13) Wednesday, March 29, 2006
I have the thumb ring that fell off mine if you really need it Kelley.

#14) Wednesday, March 29, 2006
TIME OUT! KELLEY, WHEN THE HELL DID YOU GET ENGAGED!?!?

407-748-9122 CALL ME!

#15) Monday, April 03, 2006
What am I not noticing here.

#16) Wednesday, April 05, 2006
That picture is almost smaller than my cell phone screen...but I think I see 2 cats. I also see a non Anheuser-Busch beer product, you've just been added to my list of people to thank for my shitty raise and drop in my 401k match.

#17) Monday, April 10, 2006
I wouldn't say I'm messy...but my car is a bit on the messy side. My car is the realization that I do not have enough storage space in my life. In fact, I would go as far to say my car is, in essence, "the kitchen drawer everyone piles the crap they don't want to throw away."

I'm one of those people in which everything has a place. The problem arrises when I do not have a place, at the time, to place something. In those cases, the items find themselves in limbo, awaiting time for me to organize other portions of my life that involve them.

Damnit Brian Uri! I hate you...I now have to go and clean my car out!

#18) Tuesday, April 11, 2006
Thank you...I now have the olympic theme song stuck in my head.

#19) Wednesday, April 12, 2006
See, that's why I dropped my music major...I was beginning to hate playing Trumpet...although Shac and Kelley could not grasp my reasoning...as I had to listen to them bug me about it for a good 2 years afterwards.

Oh and Shac...I got your message but not your number...call me 407-748-9122. Who needs myspace when you have the Uri!zone!

#20) Tuesday, April 25, 2006
My only good marching band memories involved me either being A - Drunk, B - getting yelled at, C - getting kicked out of something. Like the time Sherm and I sat in during drum major rehearsels right before Jazz Band...If McKee didn't already hate me, he did after that! All we were trying to do was give the wanna-be drum majors a taste of what they had to look forward too...except we were much better sounding...well, Sherms hi-gs were pretty obnoxious, BUT HEY, THEY WERE HI-Gs! Anyway, all blame goes to a person who I won't mention the first name of...URI!, as he asked us to sit in because they were desperate for fillers. It was actually his ploy to see Sherm play horribly arranged marching band songs for one last time.

Just remember, during the one rehearsal Sochinski shows up to, play as loud and obnoxious as possible and top of any chord with a higher note than listed. That sir, is when the fun begins...

#21) Tuesday, April 25, 2006
Yes, and that Harry kid was a piece of crap...didn't he get beat up, I'm picturing him with a black eye.

#22) Thursday, May 04, 2006
This reminds me of a game I played on another forum...it was called "guess the wreck" and they showed almost indistinguisable signs of cars that had been in accidents and you had to figure out what car it was...your game is 10 times more difficult and is to the point where I don't even want to try.

Even the ones I recognize the artist of require research!

BTW, I downloaded clearfonts and my eyes thank you...if only the IT nazis at work would give me access to install programs on my work computer!

#23) Thursday, May 04, 2006
Also, since your poll says that 2 people can get more than 6...I'm not even trying.

#24) Tuesday, May 09, 2006
That whole logging in thing was stupid at the math empo. All I did was swipe in, leave, and then come back 2 hours later after I finished whatever other fun things I had planned. There was that one time when I never made it back and it automatically logged me out about 12 hours later.

You guys and your hate is funny...remember we were all not lucky to give everything we had to get nothing in return <--very vague reference that only one or two will get.

It has to do with sexual favors :P

#25) Friday, May 12, 2006
With 6 comments being posted so far I expected to see more than a dialouge between 2 people...so disappointing.

#26) Monday, May 15, 2006
See, Anheuser-Busch has a great policy to combat this. It's called "2 free cases of beer each month." So excuse me while I grab another Bud Select out of the fridge and forget about work.

#27) Tuesday, May 16, 2006
He's right about pre-mixing some at room temperature then adding it. I remember having to do that in one of the stupid HTM labs I was in...

#28) Thursday, May 18, 2006
I bought it after work yesterday and I agree with your review.

You're right that they don't overly obsess about nostalgia...but they put enough things in to interest the old nintendo players, like the some of the more obscure players like the hammer bros and the way you have to beat bowser in the 2nd castle (jump over him and knock out the bridge).

I don't like that you can't save it whenever you want...you have to get to a toad hut...which are practically useless because I ALWAYS have an aux item in my pocket when I get to one of those things.

I'm mad that the "warp cannon" in World 1 and World 2 both take you to World 5.

I guess the good thing is you can't beat this game in 12 moves (or some rediculously low number) like you could in Mario World. All you had to do in that game was get to star road, take the star that took you to level 8 and wa-la...bowsers castle.

#29) Thursday, May 18, 2006
Shut up and go back to playing Halo

#30) Monday, May 22, 2006
Ryan Froerer, Century 21: "There was beer cans I would say probably this high up on the door."

Because we were there when he said that and know how high he means?

#31) Monday, May 22, 2006
You really need a forum type of message board again...so we can revisit discussions like these for weeks to come.

#32) Thursday, June 01, 2006
Wait wait wait...days go by where the ice cream man DOESN'T come to your neighborhood??? Where is this place you live??

I don't know what song the ice cream man, who must obviously have nothing better to do OR I'm living in a gold mine of ice cream deprived children..., plays, but it repeats with a annoying horse "neigh." I give it credit the tune actually has a bass line and a melody.

#33) Monday, June 05, 2006
Yeah, An easier way to make bacon! Move over double bypass, triple here I come!!

#34) Thursday, June 08, 2006
Yeah, got to love home improvement. Here's my long list of things to do. We've already done quite a bit...I try to do one project a month. The office we have in the back of the house is actually my VT room. It now has wood floors and maroon walls with various VT elements throughout.

Things to do...somewhat in order.

1. Buy Kara her freaking Mazda 3 (it's not house related, but this delays all of the projects I want to do, so it goes on the list).
2. Paver the back patio.
3. Figure out why the switches on the wall in our bedroom don't work the fan and/or the light...
4. Ceramic tile the kitchen, living room and front entrance.
5. Buy 42"+ TV (if she gets a car I get my TV)
6. Recarpet the remaining rooms.
7. Finish backyard landscaping
8. Hire someone to install a screen porch over newly pavered patio.
9. Sell the house, enjoy the profit, then spend it getting a bigger/better one with a pool.

#35) Thursday, June 08, 2006
True, same here. I could sell my house today for about 75% more than I purchased it for 1.5 years ago. But I don't want to stay here, I'd like to upgrade...there are a lot of little things I would look for now that we were not concerned about when we purchased back then. Our house is pretty small...only 1300 sq ft.

#36) Wednesday, July 12, 2006
I guess the site isn't popular to country singing ambulance drivers. Who knew.

#37) Wednesday, July 12, 2006
Oh and Kelley...I booked tickets home for the weekend of you wedding...or what I think it is since I have no invitation yet...so don't change the dates or call it off or you owe me some $$$.

Douchebag.

#38) Tuesday, August 01, 2006
So, I'm the first to post on version 11.0...go me.

And congrats Anna! I'm prego too...well not so much me being pregnant, but Kara.

#39) Tuesday, August 08, 2006
I have the first picture of my baby...its the most adorable peanut shaped/sized white thing with a black dot in the middle I have EVER seen.

#40) Tuesday, August 22, 2006
CRAAAAZY, ours is due on March 26th! Weird.

#41) Tuesday, August 22, 2006
See, I told you...We had our first ultrasound at 6 weeks...so there wasn't much to see. Other than the heart it had no distinguisable characteristics. I think we may try the 4-d ultrasound if the grandparents pay for it :) when 18 weeks rolls around.

#42) Friday, August 25, 2006
Geez, as a trumpet player I figured you should fell obligated to mention something about Maynard Ferguson's passing.

#43) Tuesday, September 05, 2006
Can we play a "insert the caption" game with one of their photos?

#44) Wednesday, September 13, 2006
Ah, the starcraft days, if I had not such a crappy connection in those days we would have played more.

I unfortunetly am still addicted to Counter-Strike...and not he new fancy source version...the original a gazillion year old version. Although my addiction has turned into playing/admining on one server that plays one map with mostly regulars...I guess I've refined my tastes over time.

After 24 years, TF2 is finally "around the corner" from being released and it looks pretty hot. I might have to spend 300-500 bucks upgrading my computer to be able to play it though.

#45) Friday, September 15, 2006
Happy B-Day man...have a good one.

#46) Monday, November 20, 2006
HAH!, I'm a day late seeing this so F YOU! No, I'm too poor to afford a console at this point in time, hell I have 1.6 women in the house with me and the newest (the .6) isn't even fully developed yet and is already mastered sucking the money out of me. Back on topic, although the wii is very intriguing, I could care less about the PS3. The only reason I would have bought that was so I could run straight home and sell it on ebay for a zillion dollars.

#47) Tuesday, November 21, 2006
FU brian...read yesterday's post. :)

I was at target last night, probably so the wife could look at something baby related...and the entire wii display was sold out...every controller, doohicky and doodad around the sample unit, that was JUST a video playing, no actual controller or game to play along too :\\, was sold out.

#48) Wednesday, December 06, 2006
You dumbass Shac...you should have worked at Curves.

I might have to purchase this card you speak of, I'm still squeezing what little performance I can get out of my geforce 4200. From a graphics card standpoint that thing is more outdated than the model t.

#49) Friday, December 15, 2006
Yeah, he died on Monday.

#50) Thursday, January 04, 2007
I was a hall patrol at one time...I was limited to the inside of the building and wore a white belt. As to be outside with the orange belt you had to be in 5th grade, I was in 4th. I took this responsibility on after I outgrew running the school bookstore...ie big brown cart with pencils and paper on it, in 3rd grade.

I too walked home, because it was much quicker to run through the woods behind the school than to load the bus and wait till they dropped me off. I would often be home 5-10 mins before the bus rolled by.

#51) Friday, January 05, 2007
Is my daughter going to be in the remake of Top Gun?

#52) Thursday, January 25, 2007
Watching those videos makes me not want to purchase a Wii...that and the fact that I can not find it anywhere.

#53) Monday, January 29, 2007
I plan on my life changing towards the end of March, these changes include, but are not limited to:

- A reduction of sleep to only a handful of hours each night.
- Total annilation of any remaining dispensible income.
- A 30% increase in the total number of visitors that stay at our house yearly...we already avg a minimum of 1 overnight visitor each month...I expect that number to increase in the range of 1.3-1.6

#54) Friday, March 09, 2007
Thanks Shac and Thanks Brian for posting!

#55) Wednesday, March 14, 2007
This contest is just plain wrong.

#56) Monday, March 26, 2007
hah, starcraft...I always stunk at that game. I was never one to have to plan out the first 6 mins of my game to the second in order to gain the best possible advantage. I just want to build stuff and blow things up.

#57) Tuesday, April 17, 2007
I'm definetly at a loss for words. Great post about the tragedy...I am really sickened by the media's response to this and their obsession of placing blame.

#58) Monday, April 23, 2007
I finally bought the Wii...well more like I finally found a Wii to buy! What good games are out there?

#59) Tuesday, April 24, 2007
Not a very convincing review!

But I have other problems than playing games, I updated my firmware on my wireless router and now my wii won't connect...I'm stumped!

#60) Friday, April 27, 2007
Happy Birthday Shac!

I've never had tequiza, please continue to support my 401k, and the wii really needs a keyboard because it's 4:32am and i'm sitting here feeding my daughter and I want to go back to sleep!

#61) Wednesday, June 13, 2007
I wouldn't necessarily use the word good when describing the trumpet player from the Big Bad Voodoo Daddies

#62) Friday, June 22, 2007
THERE WAS A SHRIMP BAR AT MY WEDDING!?!?

#63) Friday, June 22, 2007
I was mentioned TWICE in that post...wow I feel special.

And I'm serious...I had NO IDEA we had a shrimp bar there! That says 2 things: 1, the only say I had in the reception was that we have beer. 2, I literally ate maybe 4 bites off of a plate of food someone handed to me.

#64) Friday, June 22, 2007
Brian...in the picture of you and rebecca above...it looks like you are resting your chin on a babies butt.

#65) Monday, August 27, 2007
1) There ought to be a law against your wife handing you the baby while you are trying to type this, thus forcing you to type with one h and while shex mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm is trying to type on the keyboardjj .

2) Michael Vick belongs in that movie where the people from prison form a football team.

3) I hate having to choose between living in Florida or moving back to Virginia.

4) In the future when tasty food is replaced completely by vitamin pills, I will probably be dead from said tasty food, long before then.

5) The thing about babies is that you can't be mad at something that smiles when they see your face, even if it's 3am and they're waking you up because they are hungry.

6) Everything would be alright if only everything could be alright.

7) The only thing worse than a politician is George Bush or Kelley Corbett since I have not said anything about him in this post yet.

8) My life is full of the constant cleaning of bottles and stinky heinys.

#66) Wednesday, August 29, 2007
I'm still baffeled at how Scrooge McDuck swam through coins.

Thanks, because now you have 80s cartoon theme songs stuck in my head (DUCK TALES WOOOOOO-WHOO, i don't - know the - words to - this part - DUCK TALES WHOOOOO-WHOOO), including Gummy Bears (bouncing here and there and every-where...) and the urge to play the Ducktales NES game, which I do believe was a fairly decent game in that time.

#67) Thursday, September 06, 2007
I'll be excited when the Wii quits trying to find nifty little things to do with the wii-mote and just makes some games that are really playworthy. The phantom hourglass was great...but mostly because it was more a port from the gamecube than a wii original.

I really feel that the wii developers sacrifice gameplay at times just to make a game that has you balance the wii-mote on the end of your nose and control the nunchuck thumb stick with your pinky toe.

#68) Friday, September 21, 2007
That is an ADORABLE picture of Ella. We too have a zillion pictures and videos of Madison, it's like a hobby now..."take cute videos and pictures of daughter." Right now she's in her crib saying "Da-da" over and over again.

#69) Thursday, October 04, 2007
Simon is one pimped out nerd.

#70) Monday, November 12, 2007
There is absolutely no excuse to having Miller Lite in your fridge PERIOD.

#71) Tuesday, November 27, 2007
The first 15 seconds sound like something from a Super Mario Brothers game.

#72) Monday, December 03, 2007
Are you sure you didn't get lost and walk into any department store in Florida by mistake?

#73) Friday, January 25, 2008
Don't make me whip out the Madison photos! Actually...you don't want any current photos...she's covered in hives and a rash (she could care less, but it's driving mom and dad crazy) because she has a milk allergy for now...which we discovered 2 nights ago.

But I have plenty of back up photos...maybe we should have a baby photo contest day or something.

Anyway, pictures will have to wait a few days, as we are moving back to Williamsburg on Wednesday for good and leaving this country, A.K.A. Florida, behind.

#74) Monday, January 28, 2008
Here you go Anna...hopefully this works, you have to create a snapfish account, but I think I have the room setup so anyone can view. If not just let me know and I'll mess around with it somemore (Kara's the snapfish expert, not I).

barbiealbum.snapfish.com

#75) Wednesday, February 06, 2008
Whoa Whoa Whoa...slow down there buddy! If you have a case of beer, you grab the nearest box of sundry items, sit down on it, find some pretzels and open said case of beer and enjoy.

#76) Friday, August 22, 2008
I'm baaaaaaaack. So we finally stopped mooching off my parents and bought house. What did I miss?

#77) Friday, August 22, 2008
Answer to question #1. I picked up my family, moved to Va and squeezed us all into my parents house for 6 and a half months...Kara probably knows exactly how many days, hours and minutes we were there. But finding time to come here and post is difficult when you have your parents asking you a zillion questions, your daughter is tugging at your leg wanting goldfish, to be picked up, to tell you the shirt your wearing is blue, etc..., and your wife is yelling at you to find a house so we can move out. The answer to question number 2 is...where do I put them, do you want me to email them to you or what?

#78) Wednesday, August 27, 2008
A - 6 people and 1 bathroom...what do you expect? B - Mommy says get off your ass and play with us or you won't see her 34-5-34 figure in bed tonight. Oh and Anna - barbiealbum.snapfish.com/snapfish

#79) Monday, October 06, 2008
Congrats!!

#80) Thursday, October 30, 2008
good game...in a good concept, fun gameplay, but kinda creepy storyline kind of way. Very addicitive, I was a little let down at the shortness of the game.

#81) Friday, November 07, 2008
Yeah for high metabolisms!

#82) Monday, November 10, 2008
I was highly disappointed in seeing that there was no picture to correspond with the waitstaff comment.

#83) Monday, December 22, 2008
This is taking away from my bejeweled twist playing time! It's Philip's "MUST HAVE" game of the month.

#84) Friday, January 16, 2009
She is toooooo cute! Do you wash her hair with Rogaine Anna?

#85) Wednesday, February 04, 2009
I agree with the Kelley comment.

#86) Friday, February 13, 2009
I pulled my trumpet out last week...it is now an interesting shade of purple/teal/blue and silver.

#87) Wednesday, March 11, 2009
Is it just a coincidence that when you click to listen the hoosiers songs that on the bottom it says...people who bought this song also bought all of the Amy McDonald songs. So either you drive sales at amazon.com through this website and enhance the success of these artists...or you are the only one who listens and buys their music.

#88) Monday, March 16, 2009
underrolling annoys the hell out of me. That goes for anything in a roll form...toilet paper, paper towels, etc... If I am in someone else's bathroom and they are an underroller, I will switch it.

#89) Wednesday, March 18, 2009
I tried downloading scorched earth yesterday...it wouldn't work on vista though.

#90) Wednesday, March 18, 2009
Also...the heading on the hedgehog story was very misleading. I was totally expecting something else when I clicked on the link.

#91) Thursday, March 26, 2009
To me, Prokofiev's Dance of the Knights, is better known as "the music by Escape from Pompei." Now having seen that, it will make the walk by that area a little more interesting.

#92) Monday, August 03, 2009
I think this is the longest number of comments for a single post ever.

#93) Wednesday, November 11, 2009
Thanks for bringing back the Thin Red Line memories. That movie killed more brain cells than a Friday night with Kelley.

#94) Monday, November 23, 2009
So what you are saying is I should go out and buy Mario Wii?

#95) Thursday, December 17, 2009
I am looking forward to Mario Wii...For some reason Kara won't let me buy it...i wonder why.

#96) Thursday, June 10, 2010
I actually haven't even played the first MG...what has my life turned into.

#97) Thursday, June 10, 2010
I'm sure once Brian gets one in your Army fatiques he'll change it.

#98) Friday, October 01, 2010
Happy Anniversary! Can't believe it's been a year already!

#99) Monday, December 06, 2010
I really need to stop being lazy and check this site daily. How long are you going to be in Williamsburg? Maybe we can meet up for a few.
